Our Story

Brave Living Designs was born in a season where everything felt uncertain.

In 2023, I found myself in one of the darkest places I had ever experienced—burnout from nursing, struggling with my health, battling depression and anxiety, and navigating a relationship that was no longer serving me. I had reached a breaking point.

And in that moment, God spoke. He told me to quit my job. It didn’t make sense. It wasn’t safe. But I chose to be obedient.

That one act of obedience changed everything.

What started as simply “trying something new” turned into something much deeper. I purchased a cutting machine just to play around, and not long after, I was blessed with shirts, a heat press, and everything I needed to create.

That’s when I realized, this wasn’t random. This was purpose.

God gave me the name Brave Living Designs because in that season, I was learning what it meant to truly be brave… not in my own strength, but in my obedience to Him.

I made a decision to surrender my life fully and do things God’s way. And from that place, this brand was created.

But what I didn’t realize at the time was… this wasn’t just about creating for others. It was part of my healing. 

 

As I began making shirts, I started creating messages that spoke directly to what I was walking through.

I made a shirt that said “Heal” - wearing it became a daily reminder to do the work, to give myself grace, and to allow God to restore me.

I created another that said “Actually, I Can” and on the days I felt low, I wore it as a declaration, reminding myself that I was capable, that I wasn’t stuck, and that God was still working in me.

These weren’t just designs… they were reminders. They were declarations. They were part of my process.

And that’s what Brave Living Designs is built on.
